In memoriam

Vera Campo died in Barcelona on April 14, 2018.

She was born in Paris in 1927. In her childhood she lived in Hamburg, Copenhagen and Barcelona, before arriving in Buenos Aires. She studied in the United States, then continued her training as a psychoanalyst in Argentina, and later received her doctorate in Psychology at the University of Barcelona (1986).

She was president of the Argentine Society of Rorschach, and founder of the Spanish Society, (of which she was editor of its magazine until the end of her life) and was also a founding partner of the Catalan Society of Rorschach and Projective Methods, which she also presided.

Since she arrived in Barcelona (1972) she developed an intense teaching, research and diagnostic work. She always surprised us by her inexhaustible ability to work on the subjects she was passionate about, among them the Rorschach. She dedicated her life to studying, teaching, and divulging her ideas. And participated actively in all the international meetings of the International Society of Rorschach and Projective Methods since 1961 (Freiburg).

She was an active and fundamental member of the Catalan Society of Rorschach and Projective Methods, forming generations of people interested in learning the Rorschach Test as a valuable tool for diagnosis and personality research. She published, in addition to multiple articles in different magazines, three books: "Los niños y el Rorschach" (Children and the Rorschach), "Rorschach en niños, adolescentes y adults" (The Rorschach Test in children, adolescents and adults), and "Toda una vida con Rorschach" (A lifetime with the Rorschach).

Her desire to transmit her knowledge and experience led her to other European cities (London, Rome, Helsinki, Vienna ...) to give courses for specialists in the subject.

Your students, collaborators and co-workers thank you for maintaining the same initial passion with which you started the studies of the Rorschach Test and for always transmitting your knowledge and your interest in research.
